This kitchen sink strainer basket with stopper combines a stainless steel mesh basket, a centre knob and a black rubber bottom stopper. The basket catches food scraps while water drains. Each unit contains one complete strainer-and-stopper assembly.

Check the opening and the space underneath

The recommended drain opening is 8–8.5 cm wide, with a depth greater than 4 cm and less than 6 cm. Compare the opening, the space below it and the lower shape of your existing drain with the pictured item. The 8.3 cm outer rim and 7 cm basket width describe different parts.

Drain, close and empty

Turn the centre knob to adjust the stopper height for draining or closing the opening. Lift out the basket to empty collected scraps, then rinse the mesh. The raised overall height is 5.5 cm; check the available space for this position.

How does it switch between draining and closing?
