The Guitto GGP-01 is an acoustic guitar pickup system combining a separate piezo pickup rod with a built-in microphone. It is for guitar players who want to connect these pickup paths through an output jack at the guitar’s tail (endpin jack). The control unit mounts at the edge of the soundhole, keeping its labeled controls near the opening. The brown wood-grain appearance is part of the metal-and-plastic housing; it is not a claim that the body is solid wood.

Controls at the soundhole

The narrow control edge carries MIC, TONE and VOLUME thumbwheels, a battery indicator and a PHASE push button. MIC adjusts the microphone level, while the tone and volume controls provide the labeled adjustments. The PHASE control changes polarity; it is a control option rather than a guarantee of eliminating feedback. These controls operate on the pickup system. The kit does not include an amplifier, a guitar or a separate instrument lead.

The unit measures 8.3 × 6 × 3 cm (about 3.27 × 2.36 × 1.18 in) and weighs 58 g (about 2.05 oz). It is listed for 36–42 inch acoustic and classical guitars, but overall guitar length does not establish soundhole fit. Check the space at the soundhole rim and inside the guitar against the unit and connection parts before choosing it. The control unit clips at the soundhole edge; the separate pickup rod and endpin output jack also need to be installed and connected. It is a complete pickup system, not just a clip that makes every guitar ready to plug in.

What the complete kit contains

Each unit contains one Guitto GGP-01 pickup/control unit, one piezo pickup rod, one endpin jack with its connection cable, one cable clip, one instruction manual and two CR2032 batteries. The batteries are included and power the control unit. The parts shown together are one complete kit; a guitar in an installation photo is only there to show the mounting position.
