The HOSHI N518 Raptor II is a 1:8 brushless RC truck with four-wheel drive, a printed black and grey body shell and red graphics. This listing offers one vehicle appearance and two charger-plug choices. Selecting US or EU changes the supplied charger plug, not the truck colour or the number of vehicles in the kit.

It is intended for experienced RC users aged 14 and over who want an outdoor monster truck with a pistol-grip radio controller. The assembled vehicle has a 3670 brushless motor, a 120A electronic speed controller and a 20kg steering servo. These component specifications identify the configuration offered here.

Drive, suspension and controls

The truck combines a 4WD drivetrain with oil-filled spring shocks, knobby rubber tyres and a rear wheelie bar. Its wide wheels and raised body give it the recognisable monster-truck layout shown in the photographs. The body shell, bumpers, wheel rims and graphics are the same for both plug options.

A Dumbo 2.4GHz pistol-grip transmitter is included for steering, forward and reverse control. The controller uses four AA batteries, which you need to provide separately. The truck is controlled with the included transmitter.

Battery and preparation

One 11.1V 4100mAh 30C LiPo vehicle battery and a standard wall-plug and balance-charger set are included. The kit does not include the 5000mAh upgrade battery or Q3 fast-charger kit. Choose the US or EU plug before ordering so that the supplied charger has the plug format you need.

Before the first drive, read the included English manual, charge the vehicle battery using the supplied charger and fit the four AA batteries in the transmitter. Follow the manual for installing the vehicle battery and checking the steering and throttle controls. The assembled truck still requires this preparation before use.

The 1:8 label is the model scale. The actual vehicle measures 51.9cm long, 38.8cm wide and 21.8cm high. Use the centimetre and inch table below when checking storage or transport space. Vehicle weight is approximately 4.5kg; this is the truck weight rather than the packed shipping weight.

Is it suitable for a first RC car?

This configuration is intended for experienced RC users aged 14 and over. It is an assembled 1:8 brushless model with a separate radio transmitter, rechargeable vehicle battery and controls to check before driving.

Which batteries are included?

One 11.1V 4100mAh 30C LiPo vehicle battery is included. The four AA batteries required by the transmitter are not included. A 5000mAh upgrade battery is not included in this kit.

What is the difference between US and EU?

These options select the plug on the supplied standard charger. The vehicle appearance, 4100mAh battery and other listed contents are the same. The Q3 fast-charger kit is not included.
