Choose the star pattern
Select 4X for a four-point pattern, 6X for six points, or 8X for eight points. Here X labels the number of star points; it does not mean optical magnification. These are separate choices, not a three-filter set.
Match the lens thread
Check the filter-thread diameter marked on the front of your camera lens before selecting a size. The available diameters are listed below. The main gallery shows the 4X, 77 mm example; the effect option photos show 77 mm examples of 4X, 6X and 8X. The diameter you select determines the size sent.
The filter-thread diameter is different from the lens's focal length. Use the filter-size marking on your lens or the filter size in its manual, rather than the focal-length numbers, to choose a diameter.
How to use it
Screw the selected filter onto a lens with the matching front thread, then compose a scene with bright point lights or reflections. The visible effect depends on the light and scene.
